District Attorney InvestigatorsDistrict Attorney Murphy has appointed a highly trained and experienced staff of investigators who work closely with prosecutors in the district attorney's office as well as the 14 law enforcement agencies in Saratoga County. Investigators have an extensive background in criminal investigation, crime analysis, case review and management. Each investigator has worked for more than 20 years as an active member of a nationally known, certified and trained law enforcement agency. Investigators assist in the preparation of cases for prosecution, meet with prosecutors and witnesses, prepare criminal cases for grand jury presentation, prepare cases for trial, coordinate with law enforcement agencies and ensure each case is thoroughly and properly investigated. In addition, the investigative staff assists in coordinating the DNA collection for individuals convicted of crimes, collaborates with school districts on anti gang initiatives, works closely with the New York State Police and the Upstate New York Regional Information Center for counter terrorism, and collaborates with the Division of Criminal Justice Services to receive current information on investigations and suspects.
