The constitutional and statutory mission of the Saratoga County District Attorney's Office is to use all reasonable and lawful diligence for the detection, arrest, indictment and conviction of those who break the law. District Attorney Murphy is the head law enforcement officer in Saratoga County. In this capacity, he and his staff work with the Sheriff's Department, the New York State Police, and 12 other police agencies to ensure the effective, efficient and uniform enforcement of the criminal laws and the administration of criminal justice throughout the County.
The Saratoga County District Attorney's Office is also committed to strengthening law enforcement's relation with the public; enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of Saratoga County; and ensuring that crime victims be treated with fairness, compassion, and respect. District Attorney Murphy is committed to safety and justice for the more than 215,000 residents of the County community within nineteen towns and two cities. Saratoga County continues to be a safe place where residents can enjoy living and working within the capital district.
